Barkly West is one of the region’s foremost attractions with literally hundreds of San (Bushman) rock art depictions at Wildebeestkuil and Nooitgedacht.
These petroglyphs are from 200 to 2000 years of age.
The magnificent Vaal River flows under the first bridge to cross the river, built in 1884, while the Tollhouse is now a museum.
